Senior Corporate Communications Officer

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and evaluate annually an effective communications strategy to meet the overall goals of the organisation.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, social media content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organisation's services and activities;
  • Respond to media inquiries and arrange interviews for the organisation,
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, digital and broadcast media
  • Manage, update and track analytics on website, media and databases/archives for regular reporting.
  • Assist in organising marketing campaigns, fundraising events and other public education opportunities.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a communications role.
  • Possess excellent command of spoken English and Chinese and exceptional writing skills.
  • Understand best practices of mainstream social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
  • Detail-minded, well-organised, strong sense of responsibility and able to handle multiple-tasks.
  • Able to understand issues affecting young people and provide thought leadership in the local community.
  • Proven experience in Hong Kong’s social service sector is an asset.

Programme Consultant – 1 year contract

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate, lead and implement special projects under one of KELY’s core focus areas – Drug & Alcohol Awareness, Mental Health & Wellbeing or Positive Youth Development.
  • Manage the reporting, monitoring and evaluation process of programme impact, providing regular updates to all parties involved.
  • Support Programme Manager in ensuring the smooth integration of special projects 
  • Support Programme Manager in establishing and maintaining relationships with different stakeholders.
  • Provide support in the development of new programmes and other initiatives in building capacity of the Programme team where needed
  • Support and participate in organisational wide events
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required and weekend work occasionally

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology or related discipline, a Master’s Degree in any of the above or Registered Social Worker would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an NGO setting and experience in working with youth related projects 
  • Leadership experience in project management would be preferable
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Cantonese.
  • Experience in programme evaluation would be an asset
  • Good presentation skills and ability to manage stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and critical analysis skills

Registered Social Worker (Drug and Alcohol Service)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate and deliver school based drug and alcohol prevention education and outreach programmes in both Chinese and English communities
  • Monitor and evaluate programme impact
  • Establish and maintain relationships with different stakeholders
  • Provide support in the development of new programmes and other initiatives where needed
  • Support and participate in organisation event
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required and weekend work occasionally

Requirements

  • High Diploma, Associate Degree or Degree holder in Social Work
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an NGO setting
  • Experience and interest in youth related health and wellbeing initiatives would be preferable
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English; comprehension of Cantonese will be an asset
  • Experience in programme evaluation would be an asset
  • Good presentation skills and knowledge in delivering workshops
  • Strong organisational and critical analysis skills
