Youth Services Officer

Responsibilities

  • Deliver youth drug and alcohol awareness/positive youth development programme in both Chinese and English
  • Establish relationships and engage with youth participants
  • Assist in workshop planning and programme evaluation
  • Coordinate student volunteers
  • Assist in managing social media account
  • Assist in day-to-day team operations and perform ad hoc duties as needed

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Social Science, Public Health or related disciplines
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English & Chinese 
  • Experience in working with young people in various settings Ability to deliver workshops and presentations in small or large scale setting 
  • Strong team player with the ability and confidence to work independently 
  • Non-judgmental and empathetic, with the ability to relate to young people

Event Officer (1 Year Contract)

Overview of the role

You will be responsible for the project management of KELY’s fundraising and branding events, to facilitate the realisation of the events from preparation, execution to evaluation, with a primary focus on Weez Walk, KELY’s signature event. You will be part of the Communications and Development Team.

Responsibilities

  • To assist the Communications and Development Manager for the project management of KELY’s fundraising, branding and community engagement events (both physical and virtual), from planning, implementation to evaluation, this may include but is not limited to:

        1.    Solicitation of venues, sponsors, manpower management, oversee the on-day logistics, run post-event follow up etc.
        2.    Prepare promotional content such as webpage, eDM and flyers
        3.    Provide support to the working committee, such as drafting progress reports and minutes

  • Utilise the CRM system for data management and stakeholder engagement
  • Follow up with sponsorship asks and coordinate with related fulfillments and logistics
  • Any ad-hoc duties as needed

Requirements

  • Degree holder with solid experience in events, fundraising or marketing
  • At least 2 years’ experience in event management or coordination, experience in organising large scale and complex events is highly desirable
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Able to meet schedules and deadlines while attentive to details, able to handle multi-tasks and work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • High level of analytical and written skill – fluent in written and spoken English with strong presentation and persuasion skills
  • Knowledge in photo or video editing software will be an advantage
  • Immediate available is highly preferred
