Communications & Development Manager

Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Communications & Development Manager will be part of a dynamic and committed team working to provide support to young people in Hong Kong. Leading a team of two staff, this person will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all funding development and communications activities to support organisational & project development needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing & implementing annually an effective communications strategy to meet the overall goals of the organisation
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, social media content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organisation's services and activities
  • Respond to media inquiries and arrange interviews for the organisation
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, digital and broadcast media
  • Manage, update and track analytics on website, media and databases/archives for regular reporting
  • Assist in organising marketing campaigns, fundraising events and volunteer engagement activities

 Requirements

  • Degree holder in Marketing or related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in NGO setting
  • Proactive and result-oriented
  • Strong organisational and critical analysis skills to continually learn and grow with KELY
  • Good presentation skills and ability to manage stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage timelines and budgets effectively
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English & Cantonese
  • Proficient in MS Office & google analytics
  • Familiar with eTapestry or other CRM systems is highly desirable
Communications Officer

Responsibilities

  • Respond to media inquiries and arrange interviews for the organisation

  • Manage, update and track analytics on website, media and databases/archives for regular reporting
  • Assist in organising marketing campaigns, fundraising events and volunteer engagement activities
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a communications role
  • Excellent command of spoken & written English and Chinese
  • Understand best practices of mainstream social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.
  • Detail-minded, well-organised, strong sense of responsibility and able to handle multiple-tasks
  • Previous working experience in Hong Kong’s social service sector is an asset
  • Fresh graduate will be considered as Communications Assistant
  • Immediate available is highly preferred
