Join KELY Support Group to empower young people to reach their full potential
The role of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Consultant is part of our Mental Health and Wellbeing team at KELY Support Group with a focus on providing mental health expertise & support to the team as well as implementing and running our referral service and help seeking support for young people in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate, lead and implement Project Connect under KELY’s core focus area – Mental Health & Wellbeing
- Manage the planning, implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation process for the full service
- Manage, supervise, train and support team member involved in case management
- Plan and implement community outreach on the referral service
- Liaise regularly with other mental health organisations / services to make necessary referrals of youth cases
- Explore and build relationship with external partners for future collaborations
- Support the overall team in responding and managing youth mental health crisis across KELY and other wellbeing programmes and mental health initiatives where needed.
- Provide internal mental wellbeing related training
- Support and participate in organisational wide events
- Perform ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
Degree holder in Counselling, Social Work or related Allied Health discipline, a Master’s Degree in any of the above would be an advantage
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in an NGO setting and experience in working with youth related projects including counselling, teaching or equivalent
- Understanding the local mental health system in Hong Kong would be an advantage
- Leadership experience in project management would be preferable
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Cantonese
- Experience in case management and delivery of training is a priority
- Good presentation skills and ability to manage stakeholders with strong communication skills
- Strong organisational and critical analysis skills
