Communications & Development Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage content for a wide variety of communications and assets for KELY Support Group in both English and Chinese
  • Build and maintain media relationships including printed, digital and broadcast media to maximise the organisation’s exposure
  • Coordinate logistics during interviews, editorial write-ups, press invitation and launch events
  • Prepare marketing communications materials – printed, online, web, media release, etc.
  • Plan and implement social media strategies and partnerships to increase the organisation’s online fan base including digital marketing analytics to support the organisation’s strategic goals
  • Manage and update content of the organisation website and databases
  • Collect market intelligence, research and prepare reports
  • Identify, develop and execute various marketing initiatives and campaigns related to promoting KELY-related causes in the community
  • Assist in organising fundraising events, campaigns, and media events

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in marketing / public relation/Journalism
  • Possess excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Energetic, creative and dynamic
  • Detail-minded, well-organised, strong sense of responsibility and able to handle multiple-tasks
  • Good team player, self-motivated and good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to understand issues affecting young people and provide thought leadership in the local community
  • Proven experience in Hong Kong’s social service sector is an asset

Youth Services Officer

Responsibilities

  • Deliver positive youth development programmes and workshops in English and Chinese in Secondary Schools in an engaging way
  • Monitor and evaluate evidence-based programmes in English in Secondary Schools
  • Establish & maintain relationships and networks with programme participants (young people), mentors, schools, other stakeholders
  • Provide support in the development of new programmes and other initiatives where needed
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health or related discipline
  • Minimum one year experience in one of the following: NGO setting, training and facilitation or other relevant work for YSO role
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese and the ability to communicate effectively with young people in both languages
  • An understanding of issues faced by Chinese speaking young people, Ethnic Minority groups and non-Chinese speaking young people
  • The ability to relate to young people, develop rapport and be seen as credible by them is essential
  • Good interpersonal skills with critical analysis, problem solving and presentation skills
  • Confident delivering workshops and presentations to different groups, large and small
