Join KELY Support Group to empower young people to reach their full potential!
About KELY Support Group:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? At KELY Support Group, we empower youth from diverse backgrounds to overcome challenges around mental health, drug and alcohol awareness, and personal development. For over 30 years, we have been a vibrant, adaptive nonprofit committed to creating safe and inclusive spaces for youth to thrive. Join us and be part of a team that’s not only dedicated but also agile, innovative, and deeply connected to the community.
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Manager within our dynamic Programmes and Services team, you’ll be hands-on in driving socially impactful, engaging youth programmes and workshops. You will connect deeply with young people, champion their voices, and work alongside dedicated schools and community partners. This is a collaborative, hands-on position where your ideas, initiative, and drive can help shape meaningful change for Chinese and non-Chinese youth across Hong Kong. This role suits candidates who thrive in a startup-style, entrepreneurial environment where creativity, agility, and initiative are valued.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging youth programmes and workshops in English and Cantonese, bringing energy, fun, cultural sensitivity, and compassion.
- Foster meaningful relationships with youth participants, providing encouragement inside and beyond programme settings.
- Take ownership in detailed planning, coordination, and administrative support to ensure seamless programme delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate programme outcomes using qualitative and quantitative data to inform improvements and report to management.
- Contribute to programme development and enhancement, including but not limited to desktop and landscape research, curriculum design, experiential learning design, focusing on mental health, drug and alcohol awareness, and positive youth development.
- Help guide teammates, volunteers, and interns (sometimes they’ll teach you things, too).
- Stay curious about youth trends, challenges, and issues—we want people who question “how can we do this better?”
- Jump into events, ad hoc projects, and anything that makes a difference, with flexibility, proactivity and a “let’s do this” attitude.
- Bring marketing and/or data sense in programme planning, which is highly celebrated at KELY, to enhance programme engagement, visibility, and outcome measurement.
Who You Are:
- Degree holder in Social Science, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Education, or related fields, driven by a passion for youth development.
- Excellent spoken and written skills in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) and English.
- Proven experience working with young people in educational or community settings, with strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Comfortable and energized working within a fast-paced startup or entrepreneurial culture, willing to adapt quickly and take initiative.
- Empathetic, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive, with a commitment to inclusion.
- Strong knowledge of youth mental health and substance use issues, especially in ethnically diverse communities.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong’s youth development sector and community resources.
- Driven by a social impact mindset—dedicated to creating measurable and sustainable positive change.
- Team spirit: positive, open-minded, and ready to grow.
- Confidence to lead, organise, and try new things, with a startup mindset—not scared to shake things up or ask questions.
