Own Voices: Breaking Stereotypes

Aren't we all born free and are equal in dignity and rights? But even in Hong Kong, an international city, some ethnic minorities are struggling to find their place here because of certain beliefs and stereotypes imposed on them. To advocate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination 2018, we are organising the Own Voices: Breaking Stereotypes documentary screening event to highlight some of the stereotypes faced by ethnic minority youth in Hong Kong, bridge an understanding between the non-Chinese youth and local youth community, and ultimately start conversations on how to make positive changes. RSVP here to join us and make an impact together!

Date:  20 March 2018 (Tuesday)
Reception:  4:15 pm
Event duration:  4:30 pm – 6 pm
Venue:  Lee Ying Lam Lecture Theatre (MBG07), Patrick Lee Wan Keung Academic Building, Lingnan University, 8 Castle Peak Road, Tuen Mun, New Territories
