Chit Sir - "Not Just Balls, But HOPE in Every Catch" — Supporting the "Juggling For Joy"

𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 Chit Sir, Juggling Trainer of KELY Support Group

Many people know me for my juggling trainer & juggling equipment designer. But today, I want to share a more important story: the true meaning of "tossing and catching."

Juggling and Life's Parallels

Juggling may seem like a game of hands, but it is actually a dialogue with oneself. When three balls are tossed into the air, you must focus on the moment, anticipate their trajectories, and learn to "recover immediately after a drop." This is very much like life, isn’t it?

My Story: From Troubled Youth to Juggling Mentor

At 17, I left school due to academic setbacks and worked as an event assistant at the KELY Support Group for a salary of HK$5,000. When I first encountered juggling, I never imagined this skill would become a lifeline for me. Years of practice taught me: "If you fail, just pick up the ball and try again." I also tell young people: "As long as you practice hard, applause will prove your worth."

Believing that "Tossing and Catching" Can Change Young Lives

In today's world, there are too many temptations, and young people often lack focus, making it easy to give up during practice. However, if they learn to reflect on this, they will understand that juggling, like many things in life, has no shortcuts, and failure is a necessary process. Juggling offers opportunities for performance and interaction with the audience, helping to build their confidence. Over the years, I have witnessed countless young people regain their self-esteem through juggling: shy boys stepping onto the stage, anxious girls learning to focus... These transformations are exactly what the KELY Support Group aims to foster—positive thinking and peer support among youth.

Why Supporting KELY?

For many years, KELY has quietly supported young people, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need. They promote a spirit of peer support and strive to inspire youth potential, guiding them into a world where they can fully flourish. They provide services in three core areas: mental health, drug and alcohol awareness, and positive youth development for Chinese, English, and minority youth aged 14 to 24.

Join Us for "Juggling For Joy"

This October, KELY Support Group will hold a brand new fundraising event, and I sincerely invite everyone to participate, challenge yourselves, and help young people build their self-esteem through juggling while confidently standing on stage!

The goals are simple:
Form a team to participate: Learn simple juggling, upload your videos, and donate (even if you drop the balls, that’s still courage!)
Raise funds or become a corporate sponsor: Every donation will directly support the KELY’s work with youth.
Share this information: people can build self-esteem through juggling.

What Can Your Participation Change?

In Hong Kong, 1 in 6 young people suffers from emotional distress. All they need is an opportunity to be "caught." Your support will directly fund the work of the KELY Support Group to empower Youth to reach out their full potential, including:
✔ Peer support training
✔ Stress management workshops
✔ Positive youth development

"The balls may hit the ground, but hope won’t— as long as someone is willing to bend down and pick them up." Let our small efforts bring positive change to young lives. Looking forward to your participation!

If you are inspired by our work and would like to help us continue making a difference, please consider making a donation to support KELY Support Group. Your contribution can make a real impact.
