From Distracted to Focused: My Juggling Journey
Have you ever struggled with a short attention span? I found an unexpected solution: Juggling.
At first, focusing was a challenge to myself. My mind would wander, and frustration crept in easily. But as I immersed myself in practice, I realised juggling wasn’t just about hand-eye coordination—it demanded mental presence. It became a form of moving meditation, pulling my mind into the moment and melting daily worries away.
Through drops and retries, I learned that perseverance is everything. Every stumble taught me that progress comes from not giving up. That mindset didn’t just improve my juggling—it transformed how I approach challenges in school and life.
So far, I’ve competed in nearly 15 juggling competitions. Each one pushed me out of my comfort zone and steadily built my confidence. That newfound self-assurance didn’t stay on stage—it spilled over into social settings and other areas of my life.
Whether performing solo or as part of a team, I’ve grown in unexpected ways. Team juggling sharpened my collaboration and empathy, while solo acts let me connect deeply with audiences and express my creative voice.
Juggling didn’t just teach me tricks—
It taught me how to focus, persist, and shine, both on and off the stage.
